Dr. Charles Eugene Littlejohn established a private clinical practice in colorectal surgery in 1984. He is an attending colon-rectal surgeon at The Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT and assistant clinical professor in the residency program affiliated with Columbia University, New York, NY.
Dr. Littlejohn was the first chair of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery (ASCRS) young surgeons committee. During his tenure, the committee established its successful traveling fellowship, an exchange program between ASCRS and Coloproctology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is a member of the Executive Council of ASCRS and several committees.
Dr. Littlejohn currently belongs to the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and is the president of the Connecticut Chapter. He was the first colon and rectal surgeon to serve on the Committee on Young Surgeons for the ACS.
Born in New York City, Dr. Littlejohn graduated from Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH and completed a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ in 1984.
He resides in Stamford, CT with his wife, Cynthia and two children.
