ASCRS is sponsoring a symposium dedicated to educating the allied health care personnel that work with our members.  A description can be found here.  The fee for this program is $50 and registration is required.  Allied Health Care personnel are welcome to attend the entire meeting.

 

 

 

Registration will be held in Hall C at the Hynes Convention Center during these hours:

Online registrants are urged to print the confirmation screen at the end of the registration process.  Registrants who submit forms by fax or mail will receive a confirmation by mail.  Bring your confirmation to the meeting.  This is your proof that you are registered for the meeting.

 

 

You may receive a refund if your cancellation is received in writing (mail, fax or email) on or before May 19, 2008.  A $75 processing fee will be retained.  No refunds of $5 or less will be made, and no refunds will be made on registrations canceled after May 19.

 

 

 

The Annual Dinner Dance is scheduled Tuesday, June 10, with the reception beginning at 7:00 p.m. and dinner at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are included in the registration fees for most ASCRS members.  Non-members may purchase tickets for $75.  Please plan to attend.

 

 

 

The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel and the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. 

ASCRS has reserved a special block of sleeping rooms for meeting attendees at the Sheraton Boston, Hilton Boston Back Bay, Westin Copley and Boston Marriott Copley Hotels.

When making reservations by phone, make sure you ask for the ASCRS room block.  All reservations must be received by Wednesday, May 7th.  Please note that the hotel reservation / rate availability are not guaranteed after the block is full or after May 7, 2008…whichever comes first.

 

 

 

 

To book your reservation, call ASCRS’s official travel agency, Uniglobe Preferred Travel, at 1-800-626-0359 and after the prompt dial “0” (M-F 8:30 am – 5:30 pm CST).  Uniglobe Preferred Travel has all of ASCRS’s Authorization numbers and if applicable these will automatically be entered for every reservation called in or booked on-line.  If you prefer you may:

  • Book your travel online at www.uniglobepreferred.com.  Scroll down and click on Rapid-Rez links.  When the booking page comes up, click on “Create New User”. Enter personal information, click “done”; the next page is for more detailed personal information – here you must enter a credit card number and billing address to make a reservation. Scroll down and click “Save”. Click on the “Travel Planner” tab to make a reservation.  Please record your User ID and your Password for future use.  Discount fares are automatically displayed on this site and booking on this site will have a reduced agency service fee of $15.

 

 

 

ASCRS has arranged with American Airlines for special discounts on airfares to Boston.  Save up to 5% when your tickets are purchased on American Airlines and some restrictions may apply.  Please mention the ASCRS Authorization number (listed below) when making your airline reservations.

The ASCRS has negotiated special reduced rates with J.C. Transportation Inc & ACE American Super Shuttle for your airport ground transfers.  To make your airport ground transfer reservations click here or call (781) 598-3433 or (800) 517-2281.  The regular rate is $14.50 per person for the Sheraton Boston and Hilton Back Bay Hotels.  When you print our ASCRS coupon and present it to the driver the rate will be reduced by $2.00 ($12.50), if you book online the rate will be reduced by $3.00 ($11.50).

This service operates seven days a week, from 7:00 am until 2:00 am.  Vans leave the terminal every 15 minutes. When you arrive at the airport and have your luggage call (800) 517-2281 and tell them you have arrived.  They will direct you to where you will be picked up and which van to look for.  You will be picked up outside of the baggage claim area.

 

Taxi Service
Boston taxis are available at all Logan terminals 24 hours a day.  Distance from the Airport is about 4 miles and it can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes depending upon traffic conditions. Rates are based upon the meter system, the starting meter is $2.25, each mile is $2.60, and there will be a Harbor Tunnel toll of $4.50 added.  Children under the age of 12 will be offered a rate of $8.00.

 

 

 

For registered spouses and guests, the Hospitality Suite, located in the "Back Bay Ballroom C&D" (Sheraton Boston Hotel), is open from 7:30 to 10:30 am, Sunday through Wednesday.  A continental breakfast will be served.

Some speakers may be eligible for complimentary general meeting registration and/or workshops.  However, all speakers must register for the meeting regardless of whether or not a fee is charged.

All tours are optional and are not included in the registration fee. The full tour listing can be found here.  Make your tour reservation online with NXTevent (http://nxt.thewebtours.com/ascrs2008/) by May 7, 2008.  These tours have been specially arranged for registrants of the Tripartite meeting.  NXTevent may cancel any tour which does not meet its 30 person minimum requirement per tour. If a tour is cancelled, tour fee paid by registrants will be fully reimbursed. Individuals who sign up for a tour and cancel before the cancellation date, May 7, 2008, will be assessed a $25.00 cancellation fee per tour. There will be no refunds by NXTevent after the cancellation date to individuals who cancel their participation. All events will operate regardless of weather unless notified by local authorities as to unsafe conditions.
