I. PRODUCT MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES

  1. “Save the Date” Promotional Brochure
    This attractive 4-color brochure promoting the 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting is mailed to all 2,600 Society members and 25,000 non-member CRS and general surgeons. This exclusive sponsorship includes two pages of product ads.

    Provided to all meeting attendees at registration, the 1/2:" x 26" badge lanyards will feature your company or product name. Sponsor orders and pays for the production and shipping of the lanyards.

    This eye-catching 7' high x 12' wide, 5-panel, illuminated board lists the hour by hour meeting agenda. Sponsor’s product ad is displayed in the middle of this highly visible display. During the 3 ½ day Annual Meeting, nearly all 2,000 registrants will view your message as they check the schedule board.

  4. Honor Roll Board
    This attractive 7'x12', 5-panel lighted board lists the ASCRS and Research Foundation contributors. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to display your product ad in the middle of the board.   5. Internet Café (An excellent product promo)
    Located in a strategic area near convention registration, attendees can surf the internet or send and retrieve email. Your product logo will appear on each computer screensaver (8 monitors) as well as on panels of the internet café, making this sponsorship an excellent marketing tool. Sponsor will be acknowledged in the program guide and on signage at the entrance of the Internet Café.

  6. Registration Bags
    Display your product logo on 2,000 vinyl, cloth or burlap meeting registration bags, which will be distributed to all Annual Meeting attendees. Your product name will remain forefront in physician’s minds when they return home carrying their meeting bag.

  7. Banners in the Hynes Convention Center
    Generate high visibility of your product name and message by sponsoring banners throughout the Convention Center. Banner sizes vary. The sponsoring company will work directly with Freeman Decorating Company and the Hynes Convention Center on the production and hanging of the banners. Production cost is not included in the sponsorship fee.

  8. Branded Chocolates
    Leave ASCRS meeting attendees with “sweet thoughts” of your company or product by having branded candies placed on the attendees’ hotel room pillows. When they turn in for the night, your message will be foremost on their minds.  Three opportunities are available:  Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings.  The sponsoring company will provide ASCRS with a $6,000 grant and is responsible for the production of the candies and will work directly with the hotel on the distribution.

  9. Hotel Video and Tent Card
    When you select this package, your company’s message receives double the exposure! Display your message on hotel tent cards which will be placed in attendees’ rooms. As attendees enter their room, they will notice the tent card and will be encouraged to watch your promotional video on their hotel room television. The sponsoring company will work directly with the hotel and cover all production costs associated with the tent cards and video. ASCRS staff reserves the right to preview and approve the tent card copy and video prior to airing.

  10. Bottled Water
    Provide ASCRS meeting attendees with a complementary bottle of water with your brand logo on the label in their hotel room. ASCRS physicians are sure to remember your brand as they carry a refreshing beverage with them to the meeting. Two opportunities are available……Monday and Tuesday. The sponsoring company will provide ASCRS with a $6,000 grant and is responsible for the purchase of the bottled water and will work directly with the hotel in its distribution.

  11. Seated Massage by Bodyworks – The Ultimate Traffic Builder!
    Attendees will receive a complimentary upper body massage as they sit in one of three specialized non-mechanical chairs located in the Body Works booth. In order for attendees to receive this rejuvenating benefit, they must pick up a ticket at the sponsor’s booth. Your product or company’s name and logo can appear on T-shirts worn by the Body Works’ staff. Production cost of the massage tickets and T-shirts is not included in the sponsorship fee.

    Provided to all physicians upon registration for use in the Exhibit Hall. Contains physicians’ name, address, phone, fax, hospital affiliation…and your product promotion. Exhibitors swipe the card
    and print out their leads for follow-up. Sponsor receives complimentary lead retrieval unit for use in their Exhibit Hall booth.

  13. Hotel Room Key Promotion
    Each time meeting attendees utilize their hotel room key your product ad will be noticed. The sponsoring company will provide ASCRS with a $9,500 grant and will work directly with the hotel on the production and distribution of the keys.

  14. Advance Registration Brochure
    Sponsor’s product ad will be displayed on the back cover of this 8½” x 11” brochure, which lists all pre-registered attendees. A popular item with ASCRS meeting attendees, your product message will seen each time the physicians view the brochure to locate colleagues.

II. CORPORATE MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES

  1. Convention Program Guide (Final Program)
    This 200-page, 4”x 8½” publication is the official program for the 2008 Annual Meeting. It contains the day-by-day, hour-by-hour agenda for the week including about 180 abstracts presented at the meeting. Sponsor is awarded 4 pages of corporate ads including covers #3 & #4, with the latter printed in 4-color.

  2. Abstract Section of Diseases of the Colon & Rectum
    This 40-page section will be published in the May issue of Diseases of the Colon and Rectum (circ: 5,000). It will contain abstracts of the approximately 160 podium and poster presentations to be presented at the 2008 Annual Meeting. Sponsor acknowledged on title page of section.

  3. Executive Council Dinner – Saturday, June 7.

    Clear, readable reproductions of all scientific posters will be produced On 11” x 17” stock with your ad on the back of each poster…or on the front inside and back covers of the binder. All physician registrants are provided with a 3-ring binder (with your company name on the cover) to preserve for future reference. A searchable CD-ROM of the posters is available for an additional fee.

  1. Webcast ASCRS Annual Meeting.
    ASCRS will Webcast about 22 hours of its Annual Meeting to enable surgeons from throughout the world to “participate” in our meeting for CME Category 1 credit. The webcast will feature audio and slide presentations… and remain on our Web Site for 12 months. The sponsor will receive a banner ad. Full-page ads (six issues) in Diseases of the Colon & Rectum will promote the availability of the Web cast and prominently acknowledge sponsor.

  2. Webcast Your Symposium for 12 months on the ASCRS Web site.
    If you do not wish to sponsor the entire 22 hours of the Annual Meeting, consider webcasting your symposium.
