Case mix / number of cases: Open/Laparoscopic Abdominal: 250; Anorectal: 300; Flex/Rigid Signoidoscopy: 110; Colonoscopies: 400; Total: 1200 (2006-2007 Fellow Numbers)

Strengths of program: Large surgical and office case load. Regularly scheduled didactic conferences. Large research database. Excellent climate and communications center. Scheduled rotations in Anorectal Physiology / Ultrasound / Manometry Defacography / Stoma Therapy / Pathology. (10 Wk.) Rotations with each faculty member. Exposes Fellow to a variety of practice styles and operative techniques.

Clinic or office experience: New Patients: 600/Year; Follow Up Patients: 1200/Year.

Conferences: Journal Club; Pathology and Radiology Conferences; Anorectal Physiology Conference; Surgical Grand Rounds.

Interaction with general surgery residents: Not scheduled.

Research year: No.

Requirement for paper: Mandatory.
