Case Mix/Number of Cases:  200 abdominal procedures, 180 anorectal procedures, 300 colonoscopies.


Strengths of Program:  Our faculty, located on the 2 teaching sites (McGill University Health Centre and Jewish General Hospital) practice the full range of colorectal surgery. There is a large volume of minimally invasive surgery, anorectal disease treatment (clinic and OR) and colonoscopy exposure. The program is 2 years in length to satisfy Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accreditation requirements.


Clinic and/or Office Experience: Residents will spend approximately one full day/week in the clinic.

Anorectal Physiology: Available


Research Year:  Required


Requirement for Paper:  At least one paper/year.
