Dr. Philip Gordon Presidential Address 1995

Dr. Gordon is presenting A View from the Bridge---because at the conclusion of his mandate, as President of our Society, he stands at the span between the past and the future of our professional experience. Collectively, as members of the medical profession, we work at that crossing that demarcates the realm of illness from that of health, and as concerned practitioners we are aware of the extensive changes that are in the making--to alter the shape of medicine as we have known it to the way it will be in the future.
