  • ​​12 ABCRS certified surgeons performing complex and routine abdominal and anorectal cases daily as well as colonoscopies, office procedures and patient encounters

Interaction with General Surgery Residents: Close involvement with a full compliment of general surgery residents.

Anorectal Physiology: Manometry; EMG; Pudendal Nerve Latency; Endorectal U/S; Experience with all gained as all procedures are performed in the office setting twice monthly.

Outside Rotations: Three month intervals alternating between North Shore and LIJ.

Research Year: Not Available.

Requirement for Paper: Resident must submit at least one abstract for presentation to the ASCRS Annual Scientific Meeting. Resident is expected to present research project at NYSCRS.

Opportunity to Attend Meetings: All local and regional society meetings; ASCRS meeting; Resident may attend any national meeting that accepts his/her paper as a podium presentation.
