Case Mix/Number of Cases: Approximately (done by fellow): 200+ colonoscopic procedures; 200+ abdominal surgical procedures (including IPAA); 120+ laparoscopic procedures; 120+ anorectal cases; and robotic colorectal exposure.

Strengths of Program: There is a strong and varied operative experience: colon cancer, IBD, laproscopic colon surgery with active office experience, transrectal ultrasound and anal anorectal physiology.

Clinic and/or Office Experience: Includes active resident run clinic and daily office experience with faculty.

Interaction with General Surgery Residents: General surgery junior residents rotate on the colon and rectal service continually along with Private PA.

Conferences: Include journal club, surgery M&M, colorectal M&M, didactic lecture series, fellow conference, research conference and tumor board.

Anorectal Physiology Availability: There is an active clinical anorectal physiology lab held with the faculty. Additional endo-rectal ultrasound experience occurs in conjunction with the lab.

Outside Rotations: Not Available.

Research Year: Not Available.

Requirement for Paper: A scientific paper is required for completion of the program.

Opportunity to Attend Meetings: The resident attends the annual ASCRS meeting and regional society meetings at the program's expense.
